In 1984, the Government of India has recognized Nawabganj as a Nawabganj Bird Sanctuary which is now home to many Indian, and Migratory Birds, such as Strokes, King Crowa, Creane Indian Rollers, and many more. This Bird Sanctuary has also a Bird and Reptiles Explanation center inside the Sanctuary.
